If you have the opportunity check out one of my favorite TV shows, PBS' "American Experience".

This new episode is a retrospective on the year 1964. Framed by the Presidential race between Lyndon Johnson (seeking legitimacy for the office he wanted all of his life, but obtaining it only by the assassination of John F. Kennedy) and Arizona Senator Barry Goldwater, "1964" is a taste of the changes and challenges of the social, political and cultural upheavals that resulted in the country we have now.

Every country has seminal and seismic moments "1964" does an excellent job in two hours of revealing how our country's character has emerged. Take a look at the preview and then take see "1964". Its well worth the time.
